The Broad and Narrow Way Picture on TV - Influence and Impact
"Thora on the Straight and Narrow" was aired on the BBC in 1993
The series featured a copy of the Broad and Narrow Way picture. The approximate date of the print must fall within a timescale when motorcars first became popular - As early open top motorcars are depicted in the picture - one can be seen under the "WELCOME" sign and another further up.  (Earlier versions show a Horse Drawn Coach)

Thora on the Straight and Narrow first aired on British TV back in 1993 and is based on the Broad and Narrow Way picture. A friend gave me the complete series from 1993 on video tape - But as far as I know this maybe the only complete set. BBC has no plans of releasing it. I inquired awhile ago and received a reply - "Unfortunately 'Thora on The Straight and Narrow' is not currently available on DVD through BBC Shop and we are unaware of any plans to release this title in the near future."

Part 1 of 4 Part Series
The first of a four-part series in which Thore Hird explores the paths to heaven and hell as depicted in the Broad and Narrow Way Picture.  Thora becomes a guide along the two paths to a group of young choristers, the Angel Voices (The Choir of St Phillip's, Norbury, London) who sing well known hymns and songs. Also featuring during the series organist Carlo Curley, Angela Richards, John Woodvine, the Morriston Orpheus Choir, The Mellstock Band and Christminster Singers, The Surrey Harmony Ladies' Barbershop Choir and the Salvation Army's Staines Citadel Choir. The Jenkins Family Singers. Also appearing Rt Rev Roy Williamson and Father Noel Godwin.   A Bryan Izzard production for BBCtv
